Website design is more than putting things in a grid and making them look nice. It is about understanding who is arriving at the site, what they need to do, and how the page sequence guides them from arrival to action. Before any visual decisions get made, we need to understand the business goal behind the website.
We work on business sites, marketing pages, SaaS product pages, and portfolio websites. We do not build e-commerce storefronts (that requires platform-specific design knowledge that changes too fast to do well as a generalist) or web applications (that falls into product design, which is a separate engagement).
Every website design project starts with a content plan and sitemap discussion. We need to know what content exists, what needs to be written, and who is responsible for it before we start designing pages around it. Designing before the content is ready is how projects run into revisions that are really content problems in disguise.
Website design is not the right starting point if you do not have finalised copy and content. We can design around placeholder content, but final designs always look different when real content is dropped in. If your copy is not ready, budget time for that before scheduling design.
